3,000 tpd Greenfield Cement Plant

CCA is the Consultant and Project Manager for this new privately financed turnkey investment with equipment sourced from China. The Main Contractor is Chinese and the project has been designed for a ‘fast track’ result, permitting the Owner to establish a foothold in the cement market in record time.
The Project scope of services being provided by CCA started with the feasibility stages of the venture and continued through to the plant installation and start-up.
Phase I comprised the preparatory work involved in establishing a main supply contract with the preferred Main Contractor and Sub-Contractors. This phase was completed in early 2007.
Phase II covered the project implementation period from Main Contract effectivity to plant completion, and provided for construction supervision and plant acceptance procedures including:
- Detail engineering
- Equipment manufacturing control
- Supervision of construction
- Supervision of start-up and commissioning
- Training arrangements
- Warranty services

CCA is the Consulting Engineer and Project Manager for a 2500 tpd new kiln line and an 800 tpd wet process to dry process conversion that involves a new kiln line with a nominal 2500 tpd clinker capacity.
The plant expansion covers all the following production sections:
- Raw material exploration and preparation
- Raw meal production and storage
- Burning line, consisting of preheater, precalciner, kiln, tertiary air and cooler, exhaust gas treatment and filtering
- By-pass gas treatment
- Clinker storage, handling and bulk loading
- Cement grinding and storage
- Cement bulk loading, packing and dispatch
- Plant ancillaries
- Central control room, laboratory and offices
- Plant utilities and colony
- Captive power plant
- Software and program for DCS system
- Electrical interface with power plant
Cimenterie du Moyen Orient, Lebanon
Project consultants for the conversion process of this white cement plant to a grey cement plant together with a capacity expansion. The project involved a process change, raw material changes, product changes and the establishment of a captive power plant.
